Dreamy and elegant is all I can say when I think about Emily’s dress and how she looked for her bridals. It’s so great being with brides when they are all done up in their wedding attire. Emily just radiated and I love how these photos turned out. I’m glad her mom and sister were able to be there and have some fun with us.
These two just make me happy. It was such a pleasure spending time with them and their families before and on the wedding day. There is so much joy and love in their hearts and eyes. And you can see it in the photos. There was lots of dancing, hugs, kisses, laughing and good ole fun for everyone who attended this day. Zoe and her mom put together something that was beautiful and all their hard work paid off. I’m so grateful to have been a small part of this beautiful day! Hugs to you all!
And a HUGE thank you to my sweet friend Jalene of J. Taylor Photography for coming to 2nd shoot with me! Love ya!
One of the best things I’ve done for myself and my business has been to attend workshops. I go to them to learn and to be inspired and I’ve never regretted going to one. This one included. The Wondershop Series workshop that I attended invited two editors to speak. Lindsey Orton of Utah Bride Blog and Tessa Woolf of Salt Lake/Park City Bride and Groom Magazine. They talked about how gettting your work published is great for your business and how to stand out from other submissions. It was such a pleasure to be able to hear what they had to say. Submitting my work is definitely a weakness of mine and I was so grateful for the information and encouragement.
Of course, no workshop is complete without a little stylized photo shoot, and the ladies from the Wondershop Series did not dissapoint. They collaborated with some amazing people to make the shoot just stunning!
These two are just so sweet, and head over heels in love with each other. You just can’t help but smile when you are around them. They came up to Midway on a rainy day, but everything worked out perfectly.
The winter is so unpredictable when it comes to weather. And being a wedding photographer and shooting weddings all year round in Utah is hard sometimes. It’s freezing, snowy, rainy and windy in the winter and it is as hot as the surface of the sun in the summer with no breeze in sight. On the day we scheduled Zoe and Jordan’s formals it was threatening to rain all day and then it did. Fortunately we had planned on being indoors for part of it. By the time we were done with the first look the rain had stopped and we headed to the temple. Towards the end of the shoot the sun came out and I got some gorgeous shots of them. It was such an unpredictable day that ended quite beautifully.
Hi. I'm Val and you have found my blog! I'm a natural light photographer and LOVE what I do! I have a beautiful little family who keeps me sleepless sometimes but brings me so much joy. Two little girls and an amazing husband who puts up with all my craziness.
